Life during a pandemic too often feels like a less funny, less critically-acclaimed version of the Bill Murray hit movie, Groundhog Day. Every day seems to be filled with the same bad news about Covid-19 and even worse political advertisements.

Alas, relief is on the way…The KC Writer’s Fair (Digital Edition) is just around the corner!

KC Writer’s Fair

On August 8th, you’ll be able to virtually meet and hear Novo Dé and 8 additional authors from Kansas City perform a short reading from their writings!

undefined

Registration for the event is required (damn Zoom-bombers), but it is completely free to join in and listen/meet/ask questions to published authors residing right here in the KC Metro! To register simply click the link here.

Audio Content

While we’re still focused on creating great written content for you all (including a few short stories in the editing phases and another full-length novel being written), it’s never been the goal to simply stick to one medium.

Audio content, whether it be instrumental or spoken word, has always been something we’ve desired to produce at Novo Dé Productions. We’ve started working towards this goal in a couple different ways.

“The Entropy Sessions” – our flagship novel – is currently being recorded and edited for an audio-book release later this year.

In addition to the audio-book, we’re also exploring some possibilities around podcast content related to all things art – visual, music, film, and more. While we’re still putting the format and framework in place for this, be on the lookout for something to tickle your ears later this fall.

Until those the audio offerings are available, you can still grab our newest release, Adul(ter)ation, as well as The Entropy Sessions on Amazon.

Take care of yourself and be good to others,

Clayton

Hello Everyone –

We hope you and yours are still getting on alright – back in April we had a feeling that we’d all be operating with some level of uncertainty through the remainder of 2020, but to think things would be this unstable in July…well that was something that has been quite the unfortunate surprise to us.

On a lighter note, we have a couple pieces of news that we only hope can provide you some level of positive distraction…

Adul(ter)ation is Available

As of July 1st, you can now get your copy of the new novella from Novo Dé, “Adul(ter)ation” on Amazon.

undefined

Adul(ter)ation is a story about Jessica and her journey in the Adult Entertainment Industry. This particular week just so happens to be the week that Jessica will come face-to-face with not only her own internal struggles, but also encounter conflicts with individuals who are trying to prevent her from achieving her career-defining moment.

Industry aside, what would you do to be willing to get to the top of your field?

KC Writer’s Fair is back on…

and going Digital!

I don’t think I need to explain why, but the decision has been made that instead of all-out cancelling the KC Writer’s Fair, we’re going Digital for 2020!

What does this mean?

It means that on August 8th, you’ll be able to virtually meet and hear Novo Dé and 8 additional authors from Kansas City perform a short reading from their writings!

Registration for the event is required (damn Zoom-bombers), but it is completely free to join in and listen/meet/ask questions to published authors residing right here in the KC Metro! To register simply click the link here.

We’ve got a few other things at work right now that should be pleasing to your ears, but it’s a little premature on those right now…so look for another post towards the end of the month with some more exciting news from Novo Dé Productions!

Take care of yourself and be good to others,

Clayton

Good Evening Everyone,

We have a small, straight-to-the-point update for you.

We had previously planned on releasing Adul(ter)ation on June 24th.  In order to do this, we would have started posting frequently on social media this week.  In light of the current movement, it simply doesn’t feel right to bring awareness to our little novella. There are much more important voices that really should be heard at this time.

As a result, we be delaying the release of Adul(ter)ation until July 1st and we’ll be keeping our socials quiet for at least another week.  We don’t want our content posts to get in the way of the movement that truly needs to be amplified at this time.

Hello again all you beautiful souls, we hope you’re all doing alright during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have a few pieces of news that we wanted to share with all of you.

Discounted pricing – We’re going to continue running “quarantine pricing” through the month of May for “The Entropy Sessions”.

What does “quarantine pricing” entail?  It means that both versions of “The Entropy Sessions” will be priced as low as Amazon will let us and we’ll be taking no profits during this time.  The eBook version will continue to be available for $0.99 and the paperback version will continue to be available for $8.88.

KC Writer’s Fair & an Interview with Novo Dé –  It should come as no surprise that the KC Writer’s Fair event originally scheduled for April 11th, was unable to be held due to the mandatory Stay-at-Home order in the KC Metro area.  While we were disappointed we were unable to meet and engage with readers in person, we also understand the reasoning.

That being said, we’ve been assured the Writer’s Fair will happen later this year and we plan to take part at that future time (date still tbd).  In the meantime, we were lucky enough to work with a fellow KC-based author, W.H. Mitchell, to record a Zoom Interview!

Check out the YouTube video here to learn a little bit more about Novo Dé and his debut novel, “The Entropy Sessions”

Adul(ter)ation slated to be released in June – As we’ve finished up the final rounds of editing and we’re nearing completion of the formatting, we expect to release our next piece – a novella titled, “Adul(ter)ation” – in June!

This piece is a quick read – only about 100 pages – so it can easily be finished in a day or two.  It’s a fun read that is pretty straight-forward and includes a couple call backs to characters from “The Entropy Sessions”.  One thing to note with this novella, it definitely aligns with an R-rating so take that for what you will.

———————————————————————————————————————————–

Lastly, as you know we recently re-branded out Instagram and Twitter feeds to be less focused on “The Entropy Sessions” and more focused on our production company overall, Novo Dé Productions (we actually just celebrated our 1 year anniversary in business on May 1!).

Recently, we also updated the Facebook page to match the re-branding as well.  We’re looking to uplift the website next, but all in due time.

The reason behind this re-brand is pretty simple, we’re expanding our offerings beyond just “The Entropy Sessions” – with “Adul(ter)ation” and “Post Meridian” out later this year, and another full-length novel being written currently.

If you’re still reading this, we sincerely appreciate your interest in all things Novo Dé and want to continue producing content that you enjoy –  so connect with us on our socials (@novodemedia) and let us know your favorite content to consume (written, audio, visual, whatever).

Take care and stay safe,

-Clayton

Good Afternoon to all you beautiful people, as promised we have a few updates for you.

Covid-19 Donation:

If you follow us on Twitter or IG (@NovoDeMedia), then hopefully you’re already aware.  On Thursday evening, for our response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we donated $105 to the CDC Foundation: Coronavirus Emergency Relief Fund.

Discount on The Entropy Sessions:

On Friday we dropped the price of our paperback version of The Entropy Sessions to $8.88 and started a 5-day promo to get our eBook for Free.  Following the 5-day Free eBook promo, we’ll keep the price at $0.99 for the next month. As we stated in our previous post, it doesn’t feel right to charge full price for content at a time like this.

It’s our hope that these actions will have a positive impact on the situation as a whole (both fighting the virus and providing you a little escape from the madness).

In April, keep an eye out for updates and a tentative release schedule for Adul(ter)ation.

Lastly, stay safe and continue to be good to each other.

Good Evening all you beautiful people…if you haven’t heard already Kansas City (our home) issued a “Stay-at-Home” order that goes into effect on Tuesday, March 24th and lasts for a month…which means our planned appearance at the KC Writer’s Fair on April 11th is no longer on the table.

We’ve been told that the Writer’s Fair will still be happening at some point in 2020, but (obviously) we can’t give you any specifics at this point.

Once this virus is a little more controlled and we, as a society, are in better position to get back to normal, we’ll be sure to let you know where our next appearance will be.

In the meantime, we’re going to run a discount on our content later this week as soon as we finalize a couple minor details. We don’t feel right charging full price for content during a time when we all could use a little uplift.

At the moment, we’re targeting Thursday to have the promotion up and running.

Until then, stay safe, wash your hands, be good to each other, and be good for each other. We’re all in this together.

You may recall in our last post, we mentioned that we had some companion pieces to “The Entropy Sessions” planned for 2020.

Good news, we have some strong momentum going and are making the final edits to “Adul(ter)ation” with plans to have the piece finished by the end of March.

It’s exciting to have the next piece nearing completion, but it also means we then move into the operations part of releasing the new content.  While this part is fun, there’s more to it than you might guess – formatting for ebook, formatting for print, book cover, etc.

Given that we’ll be active on Twitter and IG with “Adul(ter)ation”, it doeesn’t really make sense for our handles to remain strictly aligned with “The Entropy Sessions” (@EntropySessions).  As you’ll notice going forward, we’ve updated our handles to @NovoDeMedia.

This update makes a lot of sense for us as we’ll continue to release written works, but are also looking to expand into other creative outlets in the future – audio, visual art, and any other artistic expression we may end up cooking up in the lab.

Look for updates in the coming weeks related to “Adul(ter)ation”, our booth at the KC Writers Fair, and more.  Until then…

It’s been awhile since the last post…look for more regular updates going forward.

Wanted to give you all an update on what Novo Dé Productions has been doing since we brought the paperback edition of “The Entropy Sessions” (available for purchase here) to market in November.

Novo Dé has been back at it and is currently in the process of writing two companion pieces for The Entropy Sessions series. Look for “Adul(ter)ation” to be available by Summer 2020 and “Post Meridiem” to be available by Fall 2020.

In addition to expanding The Entropy Sessions series with new pieces, we will also be releasing an audio version of “The Entropy Sessions” later this year – timeline still to be determined.

2020 should be an exciting time for Novo Dé Productions and we look forward to providing everyone with more thought-provoking content to stimulate progressive discussion.
